Placements24 is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to contribute to vital grid infrastructure projects in Queenstown, New Zealand. You will design, plan, and implement electrical networks, substations, and related infrastructure to ensure reliable power delivery and compliance with grid codes. The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, at least 6 years in power systems, proficiency with PSS/E/ETAP, and Pr.

Eng. registration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems.
• Pr.Eng. registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for substations, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Conduct power system studies including load forecasting, fault analysis, and protection scheme design.
• Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical grid equipment.
• Ensure designs comply with national and international standards and grid codes.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Collaborate with utility providers, contractors and stakeholders to meet milestones.

Key Responsibilities
