Job summary

GHD is actively seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join our Auckland, Christchurch or Wellington team. You’ll contribute electrical design and technical input to multidisciplinary projects across property, buildings and infrastructure, supporting planning, design and construction phases.

You will design building services electrical systems, including power, lighting and low-voltage distribution, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders within a supported APAC delivery network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 3–5 years electrical engineering experience.
• Building services electrical design experience.
• Experience with power, lighting and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Experience with ICT systems.
• Multidisciplinary project delivery experience.
• Experience preparing design documentation, reports and specifications.
• Experience using AGI-32 and PowerCAD.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver building services electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting and low-voltage systems.
• Contribute to communications, ICT, fire systems and associated building infrastructure.
• Prepare design documentation, technical reports and specifications in line with GHD and client requirements.
• Support project planning, design development, construction-phase activities and site-based services where required.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Support the preparation of proposals and bids and respond to project opportunities.
• Work across New Zealand and Australian projects, with opportunities to support wider APAC delivery.
