Job summary

Omexom is seeking a skilled electrical engineer to deliver technically sound drawings, specifications, calculations, simulations, and reports for construction and tendering, making a real impact.

You will operate within Omexom’s global VINCI network, applying HV/LV power system design, protection coordination, and safety standards to ensure reliable network operation and compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and/or proven track record in electrical design.
  • Ability to interpret relevant electrical standards and apply sound engineering judgement.
  • Strong understanding of HV and LV power system design, protection, earthing, and network operations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing technical documentation in accordance with the best engineering practice
  • Coordinating the engineering aspects of projects in accordance with Omexom ISO9001 systems and QM19
  • Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic, and contingency analyses
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, design reports, single line diagrams, and protection philosophies
  • Provide technical support during tendering, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases
  • Design and verify protection and control systems, including relay settings and fault analysis
  • Conduct engineering reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to meet performance, reliability, safety goals
  • Understand and implement the company health and safety policy

About the Role

In this position, you’ll provide technically appropriate and cost-effective drawings, specifications, calculations, simulations, engineering investigations, and reports on solutions to meet practical construction and/ or tendering requirements making a real impact.

  • Preparing technical documentation in accordance with the best engineering practice
  • Coordinating the engineering aspects of projects in accordance with Omexom ISO9001 systems and Omexom Design Control Procedures QM19
  • Perform power system studies including load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonic, and contingency analyses to support safe and reliable network operation.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, design reports, single line diagrams, protection philosophies, and construction documentation.
  • Provide technical support during project tendering, planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover phases
  • Design and verify protection and control systems, including relay settings, protection coordination, fault analysis, and system reliability assessments.
  • Conduct engineering reviews, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to ensure projects achieve required performance, reliability, safety, and resilience objectives.
  • Understanding and implementing the company health and safety policy and taking reasonable care of own health and safety and the health and safety of others

Qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and/ or a proven track record of engineering design in the Electrical sector
  • Ability to interpret relevant electrical standards and apply sound engineering judgement to complex technical problems.
  • Strong understanding of HV and LV power system design, protection systems, earthing, and network operations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
