Falcon Electrical, based in Napier, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Napier office. You will design electrical facilities and systems for industrial, infrastructure and energy clients, guiding projects from concept through delivery.

Reporting to the GM of Engineering, you will collaborate with engineers, customers and stakeholders, review drawings, prepare feasibility studies, and develop practical methodologies to solve power system challenges.

Formación

• Ter tiary qualification in electrical engineering and CAD experience.
• Strong ability to review drawings and apply electrical theory to practical solutions.
• Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to report findings.

The Role:

This growth role is all about designing and delivering electrical systems across a range of projects. Reporting to the GM of Engineering, you'll work with industrial, infrastructure and energy clients, partnering with engineers, customers and stakeholders to see your designs through to delivery.

• Design electrical facilities and systems for industrial, infrastructure and energy clients, backed by the latest engineering and design software
• Prepare feasibility studies and specifications for materials and equipment purchases
• Review technical drawings and electrical specifications to make sure they meet standards
• Turn electrical theory into practical solutions by developing methodologies and procedures for your engineering deliverables
• Dig into the data through field surveys, analysis and reporting to solve power system challenges

About you:

You're likely a tertiary-qualified Electrical Engineer or Design Engineer with experience in industrial, infrastructure or utility environments, ready to take ownership of your designs from concept through to delivery.

• A tertiary qualification in electrical engineering, with proven experience designing electrical and control systems using CAD software
• A strong technical eye for reviewing drawings and specifications against standards, and the ability to apply electrical theory to practical solutions
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the analytical skills to gather data and report findings to engineers, customers and stakeholders
