Job summary

ANZCO Foods Waitara is seeking an Electrical & Control Systems Technician to maintain and optimize PLCs, HMIs and drive systems in a food manufacturing environment. The role requires hands-on electrical and automation expertise on site, coordinating with external contractors to ensure safety, quality and uptime.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing.
• Proven skills in Rockwell and Omron PLCs, plus FactoryTalk HMI systems.
• Strong knowledge of VFD drives and refrigeration controls.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and control schematics.
• Experience managing contractors and enforcing compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, testing and preventive maintenance on panels, cabling and switchgear.
• Troubleshoot using electrical schematics, control drawings and P&IDs.
• Program, design and commission PLCs (Rockwell Studio 5000, Omron CX-One).
• Configure and maintain HMIs (FactoryTalk) and Ignition SCADA.
• Monitor critical control equipment and support engineering projects.
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with site safety and food standards.

We are seeking a Electrical & Control Systems Technician to be the go-to expere for all low-voltage electricam, control & automation systems. Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will ensure uninterrupted oprtations of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and refridgertaion controls, while cordinationg external electrician and automation contractors to uphold safety, quality and uptime targets.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
