Job summary

Anzco Foods Limited in Auckland, NZ, seeks an Electrical & Control Systems Technician to be the go-to expert for low-voltage electrical, control and automation systems. Reporting to the Engineering manager, you will ensure uninterrupted operations of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs and refrigeration controls, while coordinating external electricians and contractors.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience in food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing
• Proven skills in Rockwell and Omron PLCs, plus FactoryTalk HMI systems
• Strong knowledge of VFD drives (e.g., Allen-Bradley Powerflex, Danfoss) and refrigeration controls
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and control schematics
• Experience managing contractors and enforcing compliance

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections, testing and preventive maintenance on panels, cabling and switchgear
• Troubleshoot using electrical schematics, control drawings and P&IDs
• Program, design and commission PLCs (Rockwell Studio 5000, Omron CX-One)
• Configure and maintain HMIs (FactoryTalk) and Ignition SCADA
• Monitor critical control equipment and support engineering projects
• Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with site safety, hygiene and food standards
