About the role

We're looking for a special teacher to join our team at Vintage Kids Kindergarten, Epsom.

Chloe, who joined us two years ago as a new graduate, has become a much-loved part of our team. Her warmth, humour and genuine connections with children, whānau and colleagues have made a real difference. A change in family circumstances means she's made the difficult decision to leave, and we'd love to find someone equally special to join us.

A little about Vintage Kids

We're an alternative to a corporate early childhood centre. A small, independently owned kindergarten where relationships really matter.

You'll be joining a mature and talented team of teaching professionals, supported by a full-time Children's Chef. Our beautiful, home-like environment is shared by a close-knit mixed-age community of just 26 children, creating wonderful opportunities for friendships, belonging and Tuakana/Teina learning.

Storytelling sits at the heart of our philosophy. We believe in its magic and power to nurture children's language, imagination, creativity and understanding of the world. We prioritise children's growing confidence, curiosity, communication and caring for others.

Even the everyday things matter, from our thoughtfully created environment to the seasonal, natural meals our chef prepares from scratch.

The teacher we're looking for

• Warm, gentle and patient with children.
• Thoughtful, responsive and professionally confident.
• Creative and curious.
• A respectful communicator and genuine team player.
• Passionate about relationships-based teaching.
• Positive, energetic and brings a good sense of humour!

Ideally, you'll have a few years of ECE experience, although we're open to a motivated new graduate with the right qualities and alignment with our philosophy.

NZ teacher registration is essential.

What we offer

• A small, personal setting with good ratios.
• A supportive and experienced team.
• Involved management and a mature Head Teacher.
• Room to contribute ideas and make a difference.
