Job summary

Kidz Kindy in Gisborne is seeking a Centre Manager to lead our team and drive high-quality learning experiences for tamariki. You will support kaiako, nurture whānau connections, and ensure smooth daily operations with strong governance and compliance.

The role requires proven ECE leadership, knowledge of Te Whāriki, and excellent communication. A relevant teaching degree and NZ work eligibility are preferred, with a license for up to 85 children and room to impact the centre’s growth.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in ECE (Centre Manager or similar).
• Strong knowledge of Te Whāriki and ECE legislation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Teaching (ECE) or Primary Education (or equivalent).
• A valid NZ work visa or residency.
• This is a centre licensed for up to 85 children – a big role with plenty of opportunity to make an impact.
