Job summary

McKay Limited is seeking an E&I Technician for Kinleith site in the Waikato. This hands-on role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance and minor plant changes within the Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance team.

The ideal candidate has strong electrical/instrumentation capability, at least 3 years’ experience in heavy manufacturing (preferably pulp & paper), and holds an electrician qualification with EWRB registration, plus IMC level 4 or working towards it.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in heavy manufacturing industrial sector, preferably pulp & paper
• Strong Electrical/Instrumentation capability
• Experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, VSDs and engineering workstations

Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting, maintenance and configuration for minor plant changes
• Industrial switchboard maintenance HV and LV
• PLC and Variable speed drive maintenance, repair and replacement
• Field instrumentation maintenance, including analytical systems

E&I Technician

E&I Technician (Day Work) Kinleith base. We are seeking a motivated person with a passion to help, to join our Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance team at the OJI Fibre Solutions Kinleith site in the Mighty Waikato. This is a hands‑on role which includes Trouble shooting, Maintenance and configuration for minor plant changes.

To be considered:

• You will have a strong Electrical/Instrumentation capability
• minimum 3 years’ experience working in the heavy manufacturing industrial sector ideally in the pulp & paper industry
• working, with DCS, PLC’, VSD’s, SCADA and engineering workstations.
• You will have an electrician qualification and hold EWRB electrician registration
• You will hold IMC level 4 qualification or currently be working towards it.

Some of the Equipment, Systems and Tasks include

• Industrial switch board maintenance HV and LV
• PLC and Variable speed drive, maintenance, repair and replacement
• General electrical maintenance and fault finding
• Field instrumentation maintenance, including analytical systems
