Job summary

Australian Venue Co. is seeking an experienced Duty Manager for one of Mount Maunganui’s busiest venues. You’ll lead front-of-house operations, oversee functions, and drive guest experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include managing events, training staff, and ensuring service excellence while upholding health and safety standards. Evening, weekend, and public holiday availability is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coordinating functions or large group bookings.
• Current LCQ qualification and Duty Manager Certificate essential.
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee private functions, events and bookings from setup to pack down.
• Liaise with clients to ensure event requirements and expectations are met.
• Work with kitchen, bar and management teams to deliver seamless service.
• Lead, train and motivate front-of-house teams.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences.
• Complete opening and closing procedures and end-of-day reporting.
• Maintain health & safety and licensing compliance.
