Job summary

AR Staffing Solutions – Auckland, North Island is seeking reliable and hardworking Driver Operators to operate construction plant and assist with general labouring duties.

Key responsibilities include pre-start and toolbox meetings, operating plant and machinery, lifting and moving materials, and maintaining safety on site. Civil construction experience and NZ licences are highly valued. Day to night shifts including weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• NZ Class 1 Driver Licence with WTR Endorsement is required.
• Class 2 NZ Driver Licence is preferred.
• Experience operating rollers and excavators in civil construction is mandatory.
• Willingness to assist with general labouring duties when required.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox meetings and risk planning before commencing work.
• Operate plant and machinery as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Carry out general labouring duties to support the team and complete tasks efficiently.
• Lift, move and shift materials as required.
• Operate handheld tools and equipment safely.
• Measure and cut materials as required.
• Follow instructions and safety procedures provided by the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Assist with other reasonable duties and projects as directed by the client.

• Participate in pre-start meetings, toolbox meetings and risk planning before commencing work.
• Operate plant and machinery as directed by the Foreman or Supervisor.
• Carry out general labouring duties to support the team and complete tasks efficiently.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Relevant experience in civil construction is a mandatory requirement.
• Willingness to assist with general labouring duties when required.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work day and night shifts, including weekends, as required.
