Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a reliable Class 2 Driver to join our Nelson team in the Tasman region. This full-time role focuses on safe collections, vehicle checks, and steady on-road performance.

You will be part of a safety-conscious crew, operating vehicles with on-board equipment, and contributing to sustainable waste management standards. A current NZ Class 2 licence and relevant driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit for manual handling and lifting.
• Clean and current Class 2 NZ driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and onboard equipment to complete timely and safe collections.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain accurate records.
• Carry out occasional heavy lifting and climb in and out of the truck throughout your shift, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.
• Champion health and safety practices, ensuring you and your team go home safe every day.
