Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Dunedin is looking for a reliable Driver to join our Transport team on a part-time basis (0.5 FTE). You will provide safe, timely transport for staff, patients and goods across hospital services.

The role requires a current, clean driver’s licence, experience driving mini vans, and excellent interpersonal skills. You will work with the Transport Team Leader and hospital staff to ensure deliveries and mail reach the right destinations.

About the role

We are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Driver to join our Transport team in Dunedin. This is a varied role where you will provide safe, timely and efficient transport for staff, patients and goods across our hospital services. You will play an important part in keeping essential hospital services running smoothly by ensuring people, mail, parcels and equipment get to where they need to be, when they need to be.

• Providing safe and timely transport for staff, patients and goods.
• Collecting and delivering mail, parcels and equipment to the correct destination.
• Providing a responsive and reliable transport service.
• Working closely with the Transport team and hospital staff.
• Undertaking other duties as requested by the Transport Team Leader.
