Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) is seeking a seasoned software tester to join their government-focused team. The role covers manual and automated testing across functional, regression, security, and performance domains, reporting to the Government Test Manager.

You will design reusable test scripts, create detailed test cases, manage defects, and contribute testing evidence for RMF activities. DoD 8570 Level II/III certification and active security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Great communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with Jira and Zephyr.
• Five (5) years of prior experience in a similar role.
• DoD 8570 Level II/III certification.
• Active Security Clearance Required.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, and execute all manual and automated testing efforts, including functional, regression, security, and performance testing, providing status to the Government Test Manager.
• Design, develop, and maintain a suite of robust and reusable automated test scripts for functional, regression, API, and database testing.
• Create and maintain detailed, step-by-step manual test cases in the government-approved test management tool.
• Manage the full defect lifecycle, including clear documentation in the government-approved tracking system, direct collaboration with developers to troubleshoot, and verification of all bug fixes.
• Support all Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities by providing testing evidence, reports, and other related artifacts upon request.
