Job summary

IPTA in Wellington, New Zealand is seeking a seasoned DevSecOps Engineer to design and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, integrate security across the build, test, and deployment processes, and manage cloud environments.

You will implement IaC, integrate SAST/DAST, SBOM remediation, and ensure compliant secure configurations in AWS. The ideal candidate has DoD 8570 Level II/III cert and active security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Great communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS), Elastic Container Registry (ECR) and creating pipelines using GitLab.
• Five (5) years of prior experience in a similar role.
• DoD 8570 Level II/III certification.
• Active Security Clearance Required.

Responsibilities

• Establish, maintain, and enhance fully automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab or other Governmentapproved software to integrate security scanning, testing, and deployment processes
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate the provisioning and configuration of all cloud environments
• Integrate comprehensive security scanning tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, OSA, container scanning) into the CI/CD pipeline
• Generate, maintain, and actively remediate Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) findings in accordance with the SBOM Management Plan
• Provide System Administration support to all environments residing in Cloud One (AWS), ensuring they are properly configured and patched to meet cybersecurity requirements
• Implement and maintain secure secret management practices and automated backup and disaster recovery procedures for all DevSecOps tooling and configurations
