Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Tauranga seeks a Surfacing Divisional Manager to lead safe, profitable delivery of surfacing work, balancing commercial outcomes with safety and quality. You will oversee day-to-day operations, budgeting, and customer relationships to drive consistent high standards.

This senior role requires strong leadership, field presence, and the ability to grow team capability while maintaining the company’s Good Work philosophy. Strong experience in asphalt/chipseal operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience leading operational teams in surfacing, civil construction or a closely related field.
• BE, NZCE, or significant industry experience – asphalt laying and/or chipseal surfacing operations and specifications.
• Strong commercial acumen, and experience managing budgets, costs, performance and risk.
• Confident to get out in the field, relate to people on ground, and build crew and client relationships.
• A confident, straight-up leadership style, ability to build trust, lift team performance and drive capability uplift.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and doing the job right when it counts.
