Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Rotorua is seeking a District Implementation Lead to support the Lung Screening Mobile Pilot. You will link local operational teams with the national pilot, coordinating readiness, workforce planning, SOPs, and risk management.

Based in the Rotorua/Taupo district, you will collaborate with clinicians, primary care, Māori health providers and programme teams to ensure equitable access to early lung cancer detection and to deliver the pilot on time.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a relevant area or comparable experience in health service delivery, programme implementation, operational leadership, project management or change management.
• Experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action.
• Experience in NZ health sector and health screening service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide local leadership for district readiness, workforce planning, roster development, SOPs and implementation of standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate readiness assessments, manage local risks and dependencies, and align district input with national pilot planning.
• Support multi-workstream planning and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, operational leaders and primary care providers.
