Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking a District Implementation Lead in Hastings to drive the Lung Screening Mobile Pilot. You will coordinate district readiness, work with clinicians, operational leaders, Māori health providers and national teams to ensure delivery readiness and effective plan execution.

Based in Hawke's Bay, you will oversee site readiness, workforce planning, roster development, and SOP development, ensuring strong relationships and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experienced implementation, operational, or project delivery professional with strong relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ideally you will have a tertiary qualification or comparable experience in health service delivery, programme implementation, operational leadership, project management or change management.
• Experience implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action and understanding NZ health screening service delivery and stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead local readiness and implementation activities for the Lung Screening Mobile Pilot.
• Coordinate planning and readiness across multiple workstreams within the district.
• Serve as the key link between local operational teams and the national pilot implementation team.
• Develop and implement SOPs, recruitment plans, implementation plans and operating guidance materials.
• Identify and manage local risks and dependencies and support district decision-making.
