Job summary

KiwiQuest in Canterbury, New Zealand seeks a hands-on Dispatch Assistant to support the manager with vegetable orders, packaging, and forklift operations for a busy North Canterbury producer.

You will coordinate with harvest, production and sales teams, communicate with truck drivers and logistics coordinators, and ensure quality checks and dispatch paperwork are completed accurately. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Confident communication with logistics companies and internal departments.
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Ability to work under pressure when multiple trucks arrive.
• Previous horticultural or primary-industry experience is useful but not essential.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate orders with the harvest, production and sales teams.
• Communicate with truck drivers and logistics coordinators.
• Order packaging and prepare produce for dispatch using a forklift.
• Monitor produce quality against internal specifications.
• Complete dispatch dockets and stock sheets.
