Job summary

Totara Farm Trust is seeking caring and flexible Personal Assistants (Support Workers) to join a team supporting adults with varying abilities across South Auckland homes in Takanini, Papakura and Kingseat.

Positions include 2x full-time, 1x part-time and 2x casual roles. Applicants should hold a full NZ driver's license, be legally eligible to work in NZ, and be prepared for rostered day and sleepover shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience with intellectual disability and dementia.
• Experience with Autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome (not essential but a bonus).
• A great sense of humour.
• Confidence in supporting a variety of people in a home environment.
• A flexible, solution-focused approach.
• A team attitude to your work, while prioritising the needs and desires of the people supported.
• A passion for advocacy and making a positive difference in people's lives.
• Able to work rostered shifts during the day and overnight (sleepovers).

Responsibilities

• Rostered daytime shifts.
• Rostered sleepover shifts.
• 2-week repeating roster (for permanent positions).
• You must have a full driver's license.
• You must have an acceptable police vetting result.
• You must live in NZ and be legally eligible to work in NZ.
