Job summary

WSP, a global professional services firm, seeks an Associate Director/Director Structures to lead the Building Structures Team in Auckland. You will drive client engagement, deliver projects on time and within budget, and mentor engineers across offices as needed.

Ideal candidates bring a tertiary qualification in structural engineering or project delivery, Chartered status, and extensive senior project management experience with seismic expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher qualification in structural engineering or related field.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex projects.
• Strong client relationship and pipeline development skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Building Structures Team within the Property and Buildings Sector.
• Support the Head of Structures in delivering business plan and strategic goals.
• Lead client engagement and secure new business opportunities.
• Oversee technical development of engineers, primarily in Auckland.
• Act as Project Manager/Director on assigned projects, ensuring quality, time and budget targets.
• Provide reports to clients and manage project financials and quality processes.
