Job summary

WSP Wellington seeks an Associate Director Structures to lead the Building Structures team, drive client engagement, and deliver complex projects.

You will mentor engineers, manage projects across offices, ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes, and support growth through new business opportunities.

With a tertiary qualification in Structural Engineering and CPEng or equivalent, you will shape communities and advance humanity within a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Flexible leadership to drive local client engagement and champion project delivery.
• Chartered Professional Engineering (CPEng) status or equivalent.
• 10+ years’ experience in Buildings engineering with seismic focus.
• Extensive senior project management experience with a strong commercial focus.
• Experience developing client pipelines and prospects across the industry.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Building Structures Team within the Property and Buildings Sector.
• Support the Head of Structures in the delivery of the business plan and strategic goals.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Mentor Structural Engineers and coordinate project delivery across offices.
• Act as Project Manager/Director on assigned projects ensuring timely, on-budget delivery.
• Plan and organise engineering tasks, ensuring technical quality and client satisfaction.
