Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU) is Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s cultural, events and destination agency. It is an Auckland Council-controlled organisation that works to make Auckland a vibrant place to live and visit, through events, experiences and taonga (treasures).

We have an opportunity for a Digital Marketing Coordinator to support the delivery of digital marketing across Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events, as part of the Content & Channels team.

Auckland Live brings performing arts, culture, entertainment and events to audiences across Tāmaki Makaurau, from international productions at The Civic to festivals and live experiences in Aotea Square. Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events operates 13 distinctive venues for conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, corporate functions and other business events.

In this role, you’ll have the chance to work on a range of high-profile projects across Auckland to help audiences discover, engage with and take action across our digital channels, supporting campaigns through email, social media, websites, paid digital activity and performance reporting.

  • Work closely with marketing, campaign, ticketing and venue teams to deliver digital activity that is optimised for best results.
  • Coordinate and publish content across websites and email channels, working with internal stakeholders to gather copy, imagery and campaign assets.
  • Plan, build and optimise social media campaigns across a range of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
  • Support the delivery and optimisation of paid digital campaigns, including activity across Google platforms.
  • Measure, monitor and report on digital reach, engagement, conversion and activities using analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

We’re looking for someone who is organised, digitally curious and confident working across several channels.

You’ll have experience working in similar fast paced roles, with a sound understanding of tight deadlines. You’ll enjoy collaborating with different teams, have strong attention to detail and be interested in understanding what makes digital activity perform.

You’ll bring:

  • Relevant tertiary degree in either digital, marketing, communications, or something similar essential
  • Around 1–2 years’ experience in digital marketing, communications, content or a related role.
  • Experience working with content management systems, social media platforms and digital campaign tools.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Google Ads and Google Analytics.
  • Confidence coordinating digital content and campaign assets across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience in the entertainment, arts, events or venue sector would be an advantage.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, digital or a related field would be beneficial.

With working for TAU, as part of the wider Auckland Council Group, you'll gain access to many benefits and discounts, including discounted financial services and insurance, entertainment, lifestyle discounts and more.

In addition, you’ll be joining a team of dedicated and respected experts working collaboratively across the region to contribute to Auckland’s growth and development. We are committed to diversity and have a culture built on trust and valuing individual and collective contributions.
