Tauranga City Council is seeking a Digital Capability Advisor to join the Libraries team on a fixed term basis to support, maintain and improve digital solutions that enable high quality library services for our community.
The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, assisting budgeting and planning, delivering web and digital content improvements, and guiding library staff on digital tools and processes.

We’re looking for a Digital Capability Advisor to join our Libraries team on a fixed term basis while one of our team is on parental leave. This is a varied and relationship-focused role where you’ll help support, maintain and improve the digital solutions that enable our libraries to deliver great services for our community.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders across teams in Libraries, Digital Services, Communications as well as external suppliers to keep digital platforms, systems and services running smoothly. You’ll support contribute to budgeting and planning activity, help solve issues as they arise, and play a key role in progressing current digital projects and priorities.
This role would suit someone who enjoys being a connector - someone who can build trust, influence outcomes, maintain productive relationships and bring a calm, practical approach to problem solving.

We’re looking for someone who is confident working with people, systems and digital solutions. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, solving problems and working collaboratively with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You’ll bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification in information technology, library and information management or a related area would be beneficial.
