Job summary

Bin Hire Co is seeking a competent and reliable service technician with diesel servicing expertise to join our Nelson-based team. You will service and maintain a fleet of commercial trucks and plant equipment, prioritising safety and efficiency.

You must be physically fit, a self-starter with initiative and drive, and prepared to work closely with the head mechanic to deliver high-quality service and keep the workshop clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Relevant work history essential.
• Physically fit self-starter with initiative and drive.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and maintaining a fleet of commercial trucks and plant/machinery.
• Pre-checking trucks for COF.
• Working closely with our head mechanic in providing excellent service.
• Ensuring cleanliness of the workshop.
• General knowledge of the industry
• HT license a bonus
• Ability to problem solve
