Job summary

GIB® Plasterboard, part of Winstone Wallboards Ltd, is seeking a Despatch Operator for Tauranga’s Distribution Team. You will unload, load and pick orders to ensure on-time, in-spec deliveries to customers.

You’ll work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, with focus on safety, teamwork and meeting customer requirements. Evening shifts, up to 50 hours/week, based in Tauriko, Tauranga.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a fork hoist in a warehousing environment.
• Ability to plan, load and unload to meet customer requirements.
• Safety-conscious with teamwork and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and load trucks efficiently and safely.
• Pick orders in accordance with customer requirements.
• Maintain In Full, On Time and In Spec (IFO TIS).

About The Role

We are looking for a Despatch Operator to join our Distribution Team in Tauriko, Tauranga. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient distribution of our high-quality products to our valued customers. In this role you will work as part of a team to provide an efficient and accurate warehouse service including unloading trucks, loading trucks, and picking orders in accordance with customer requirements while maintaining In Full, On Time and In Spec (I.F.O.T.I.S).

About You

We’re looking for a team member who is responsive to the needs of the team, has excellent communication skills and who has a positive attitude and passion for what they do to fit in with our current team. You will have extensive experience on a fork hoist in a warehousing environment with planning and loading skills. Also required:

• Attention to detail, good organisation skill and can plan ahead
• A sound working knowledge of the loading/ unloading principles of high risk product.
• Safety focused, has initiative and self-motivation with strong teamwork skills
• A current Forklift license is desirable, but not essential, as we can train
• Able to work upto 50 hours a week, on an evening shift, Monday to Friday
