Job summary

Fletcher Building Limited in New Zealand's Canterbury region is seeking a Despatch Assistant to join our PlaceMakers branch. You will be part of a team of 17 in the Despatch department ensuring orders are prepared, loaded, and delivered on time and in full.

The role offers a permanent full-time position with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and opportunities for development within the Fletcher Building Group.

Qualifications

• Full clean class 1 driver licence and forklift licence/experience required
• Physically fit with solid health and safety values
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Great attention to detail and be organised
• Competent computer and numeracy skills

Responsibilities

• Pulling orders to get them ready for delivery
• Coordinate trucks in an efficient and effective way
• Ensuring the loads are strapped/wrapped and secure for transport
• Serving our customers within the Yard & Drive Thru when needed
• Monitoring inventory and cycle counts
• Assisting as directed to ensure an efficient warehouse is maintained
