Job summary

Sharp Brains is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide onsite end-user and office infrastructure support in Auckland. Responsibilities include asset management, troubleshooting, and coordinating with remote teams and third-party vendors.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Windows, macOS, Linux, mobile devices and office IT infrastructure.
  • Basic networking knowledge (LAN, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, access points).
  • Experience with hardware asset management and inventory control.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with remote support teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite end-user support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Provision, deploy, replace, and decommission IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, connectivity, and user issues.
  • Coordinate escalations with Level 2 support teams.
  • Support office IT services including network connectivity, printing, voice, AV, and workplace technologies.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, routers, and access points.
  • Assist with smart office solutions, digital signage, and conference room technologies.
  • Coordinate with vendors and schedule maintenance activities.
  • Receive, register, label, image, deploy, track, and maintain IT assets.
  • Conduct inventory audits and maintain asset records.
  • Coordinate warranty repairs, device redeployment, disposal, and stock management.
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies and audit requirements.
  • Support office moves, hardware refreshes, equipment relocations, and infrastructure projects.
  • Assist with business events, demonstrations, and technology deployments.
  • Provide remote hands support and escort third-party vendors when required.

Job description

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide onsite end-user, office infrastructure,


asset management, and project-based support. The role involves troubleshooting, device


lifecycle management, office IT infrastructure support, inventory management, and


coordination with remote technical teams and third-party vendors.


Key Responsibilities:

End-User Support


  • Provide onsite support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals

  • Provide remote hands support and escort third-party vendors when required.


Required Skills
