Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is seeking an Operations Engineer to join the Manufacturing Location Project Team in New Zealand. The role focuses on transferring products and processes to the China operation, establishing manufacturing capability, and ensuring quality during transfers.

The successful candidate will work with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams to ensure efficient, effective product releases and robust manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience in Design Transfer or New Product Introduction (NPI) activities is essential.
• Experience creating or implementing manufacturing processes.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Design Transfer activities from development into manufacturing.
• Create and implement manufacturing assembly processes.
• Coordinate cross-functional project activities to meet transfer milestones.
• Develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process specifications.
• Conduct process risk assessments, validation activities and manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Support the introduction of new products, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Analyse production and quality data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives targeting safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders across functions and at all levels.
