Job summary

ACG Strathallan seeks a Design & Technology Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction for Years 7–13, aligning with the Cambridge International curriculum. The role focuses on developing students' design thinking, practical skills and problem-solving through workshop-based learning.

The successful candidate will inspire academic excellence, engage learners with technology-enhanced lessons and contribute to pastoral care and the broader school community, with a start from Term 1 2027.

Qualifications

• Deliver engaging teaching and assessment programs aligned with curriculum requirements, college policies and schemes of work.
• Incorporate Cambridge International curriculum where applicable to support external qualifications.
• Demonstrate up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in ongoing professional development and performance review processes.
• Create an inclusive and effective learning environment that supports student achievement and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching and assessment programs aligned with curriculum requirements, college policies, and schemes of work.
• Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in ongoing professional development and performance review processes.

• Integrate educational technology to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality teaching resources, assessment materials and learning activities.
• Assess and monitor student progress with clear records and timely feedback.
• Set homework, projects and extension activities to support independent learning.
• Manage student behaviour and uphold high standards of conduct and wellbeing.
• Communicate professionally with parents and complete administrative responsibilities.
• Contribute to the wider life of the College through pastoral care and school events.
