Job summary

ACG Strathallan, part of Inspired Education Group in South Auckland, is seeking an experienced Year 7–13 Chinese teacher to commence Term 1, 2027. You will deliver motivating, differentiated lessons and work within a supportive team to advance student achievement.

The role involves assessing progress, maintaining records, collaborating with staff and parents, and contributing to the school's co-curricular life.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Chinese to Years 7–13.
• Plan differentiated, high‑quality lessons aligned with Cambridge content.
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to students/parents.
• Build strong relationships with students, colleagues and families.
• Contribute to school life through extracurriculars and pastoral initiatives.
• Cambridge International curricula knowledge is advantageous.
• NZ Teacher registration and teaching qualifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging Chinese lessons aligned with the curriculum and policies.
• Differentiate learning to suit varied abilities and ensure progress.
• Regularly assess progress and provide targeted feedback to students.
• Establish a positive classroom environment and strong student relationships.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to school life and events.
• Support with co-curricular activities, camps and pastoral initiatives.
• Maintain communication with parents regarding student progress.
