Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first online charter school, seeks a Deputy Principal to lead a portfolio focused on high standards learner experience. You will oversee attendance, engagement, student support, learning assistance, and interagency collaboration to ensure every learner can access, attend and thrive in our online school.

The role forms part of a growing senior leadership team and will report on attendance, engagement and learning support to drive continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Attendance and engagement, schoolwide. Lead strategy, systems, data and Board reporting; own policy, codes, dashboards and intervention tiers.
• Student support and case management. Chair weekly Student Support meeting; oversee individual plans, reviews and escalation of persistent non-attenders.
• Learning support. Oversee SENCO, ESOL, IEPs, ORS and RTLB applications, and learning assistant timetables.
• Interagency work. Be the school's key link with Oranga Tamariki, RTLB, health, counselling and Youth Services.
• Enrichment and access. Lead GATE and enrichment programmes, and open doors for priority and disengaged learners.
• Behaviour. Lead restorative practice, stand-down and suspension procedures, and behaviour data.
• Board reporting. Report termly on attendance, engagement and learning support.
