Job summary

Aotearoa Infinite Academy, New Zealand's first online charter school, is expanding its senior leadership with a Deputy Principal – High Standards Learner Experience. This full-time, permanent role leads a strategic portfolio focused on attendance, engagement and learning support for Years 7–15 and wharekura.

You'll collaborate with pastoral DPs, chairs and interagency partners to ensure every learner can access, attend and thrive in our online school.

Qualifications

• Lead strategy, systems, data and Board reporting for attendance and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead attendance and engagement schoolwide; own policy, codes, dashboards and intervention tiers.
• Chair weekly Student Support meetings and oversee individual plans, reviews and escalation of persistent non-attenders.
• Oversee SENCO, ESOL, IEPs, ORS and learning assistant timetables.
• Be the school's key link with Oranga Tamariki, RTLB, health, counselling and Youth Services.
• Lead enrichment and access; oversee GATE and enrichment programmes for priority and disengaged learners.
• Lead restorative practice, stand-down and suspension procedures, and manage behaviour data.
• Report termly on attendance, engagement and learning support.
