Job summary

Bunnings Nelson store is seeking a Department Manager to lead a 20+ member team, ensuring exceptional customer service while prioritising safety and stock integrity. You will partner with Service, Inside the Home, Builders, and Lifestyle & Garden teams, reporting to the Operations Manager and Complex Manager.

You will oversee duty-manager tasks, weekend rosters, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver the Best Experience and the Widest Range at the Best Prices for our customers across

Qualifications

• Lead a large team (20+) to deliver Best Experience while maintaining safety and engagement.
• Experience in retail or high-volume, customer-focused organisations.
• Focus on wellbeing, safety compliance, and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ to maintain a safe, engaged work environment.
• Open/close store as duty manager on weekdays and weekends.
• Coach and develop the team; drive service and safety culture.
• Plan rosters and monitor key metrics to drive department sales.
• Ensure stock accuracy and loss prevention processes.
