Job summary

Together Dental is recruiting a Head Receptionist to lead the reception team and deliver an outstanding patient experience at our Norwich practice. You will work closely with the Practice Manager and clinicians to ensure smooth day-to-day reception operations, appointment scheduling and high patient satisfaction.

The role requires experience in a dental, healthcare or customer service setting, with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring a team.
• Previous experience in dental, healthcare, or customer service environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Professional, approachable and patient-focused manner.
• Confident with computer systems and appointment booking software.
• Ability to stay calm and organised in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and motivate the reception team.
• Ensure every patient receives a warm, friendly and professional welcome.
• Oversee appointment scheduling and diary management for efficiency.
• Handle patient enquiries in person and by phone with professionalism.
• Support the Practice Manager with reception rotas, training and performance management.
• Assist with recruitment, induction and mentoring of new staff.
• Monitor processes and identify opportunities to improve the patient journey.
• Ensure patient records comply with GDPR and company policies.
• Manage incoming correspondence, emails and administrative tasks.
• Promote a positive, organised and supportive working environment.
