Job summary

Lumino Como Street in Takapuna, Auckland, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. You will support clinicians during procedures, handle sterilisation, and ensure infection control.

This 23-hour-per-week role offers consistent scheduling with Mon 8:30am-5pm, Thu 8:30am-5pm and Fri 8am-4pm, and opportunities to work within a large national network. Ideal candidates have prior Dental Assistant experience, strong communication, and NZ work rights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a must.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in computer software applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A valid NZ work right.
• Live locally or within a reasonable commuting distance of Birkenhead.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials.
• Greet patients, review their medical history and answer any questions they may have
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use

Job Description

Lumino Como Street is currently on the lookout for an experienced Dental Assistant to join the team!

As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld and the best patient care is provided. You will also take control of tasks such as sterilisation and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilised following best practice guidelines.

This is a fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be someone who enjoys working closely within a team and providing upstanding customer service.
