Job summary

Do Good Group is seeking an experienced facilitator to coordinate and run the Lakes Living Well Discovery Programme for people living with dementia in the Taupo area. The role focuses on delivering a 7-week programme with weekly activities such as Tai Chi, gardening, and social sessions, ensuring a dementia-inclusive, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitation for groups, especially older adults or people living with dementia.
• Ability to coordinate venues, tutors and participants.
• Clear, respectful communication with participants and providers.
• Ability to document outcomes and programme reports.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cohorts from referral through delivery, review and exit planning.
• Receive referrals from Lakes Dementia Advisors and liaise about goals and risk.
• Source venues, tutors and community activity providers.
• Plan and resource weekly sessions and organise logistics in advance.
• Attend sessions with tutors to ensure dementia-inclusive, safe environments.
• Document group and individual outcomes and complete post-programme measures.
• Complete evaluation, reporting and contribute to review after Cohort 1.
• Support with administrative tasks like paperwork, invoicing and templates.
