Job summary

Switched On Housing is hiring a Delivery Supervisor to own residential maintenance projects from scoping through completion. You will work with Kāinga Ora, subcontractors, customers and internal teams to deliver safely and to a high standard.

The role is hands-on, blending on-site work with behind-the-scenes tasks, handling competing priorities, solving problems on the go and building strong relationships with a wide range of people.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising residential maintenance or construction projects.
• Ability to coordinate multiple jobs and priorities effectively.
• Strong relationship-building with customers, contractors and internal teams.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety in construction/maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Scope repair and maintenance work across Kāinga Ora properties.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and trades throughout delivery.
• Monitor site activity to ensure safety, efficiency and quality.
• Perform quality assurance inspections and sign off works.
• Maintain Health & Safety requirements on site.
• Keep accurate job records, documentation and invoicing.
• Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Help achieve contract performance targets and customer outcomes.

We are looking for a Delivery Supervisor to join our team. This role was originally advertised as a fixed term role, however we are now looking to fill the role permanently

This is a hands on role where you will take ownership of residential maintenance projects from scoping through to completion. You will work closely with Kāinga Ora, subcontractors, customers and internal teams to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

You will spend time both on site and behind the scenes, no two days are the same. You will be managing competing priorities, solving problems on the go, and building strong relationships with a wide range of people.

As one of the key Maintenance Partners on the Te Mahi Ngātahi contract, Switched On Housing works with Kāinga Ora to help ensure homes are safe, warm, dry and comfortable.

Our teams support communities from Tairāwhiti-Gisborne to Waitaha-Canterbury, delivering maintenance, repairs and housing improvements every day. We are committed to creating positive outcomes for our customers, communities and kaimahi.

What You will Be Doing

• Scope repair and maintenance work across Kāinga Ora properties

• Carry out quality assurance inspections and sign off completed works
• Ensure Health & Safety requirements are consistently met on site
• Maintain accurate job records, documentation and invoicing
• Build strong working relationships with customers, Kāinga Ora, subcontractors and internal teams
• Contribute to achieving contract performance targets and customer outcomes

What We are Looking For

• Experience supervising, coordinating or delivering residential maintenance, construction or trade-based work
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities at the same time A practical problem-solver who can make sound decisions under pressure
• Strong relationship-building skills with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
• Sound understanding of Health & Safety expectations in a construction or maintenance environment
