We're all about working on the important things that make a big difference to our customers and communities. To do this, we need planners, thinkers, doers, people leaders and followers to work collaboratively and get the job done.

About the role

As a Delivery Planning Project Manager, you will be focused on the early phases of the project lifecycle, from concept to through to financial approval. The role has a dual focus, firstly to provide 'Front End Loading' of complex projects where we can significantly add value and reduce risk through great planning prior to the start of construction, and secondly, maturing projects through planning phases to create a pool of 'deliver ready' projects. Your responsibilities will include verifying project scopes, identifying and resolving complexity or uncertainty in projects, overseeing detailed designs, maintaining project reporting, and working with Delivery colleagues to prepare and manage contractor documentation. Critical to the success of this role is solid professional experience and exceptional collaboration and communication skills to get the best out of those around you as this role interacts daily with internal and external stakeholders.

About you

Our successful candidate will have proven project management experience with depth in project management methodologies and tools. Knowledge and experience of managing projects within electricity distribution, utilities, or industrial infrastructure would be an advantage. The ability to define and deliver key project tasks based on the provided project concept, develop robust achievable schedules, forecast cost against budgets, and then recognise and manage project risk are key. The role is busy and varied so we leverage technology for efficiency, requiring a high level of competency with technology and processes. Most importantly, you'll be joining a fantastic team with a great culture, so a positive and inclusive mindset is essential.

What's in it for you?

  • Be part of a great organisation that will develop you
  • Great office environment, team culture & social activities
  • Health and Wellness - flu vaccinations, access to regular health checks, fruit in the office
  • Healthcare scheme - Medical insurance package
