Job summary

Air New Zealand Limited is seeking a Delivery & Performance Specialist for a 12‑month fixed term contract to join the Delivery & Performance team in Auckland. You’ll help identify and address delivery constraints, diagnose opportunities and design focused interventions with cross-functional teams.

You’ll work where evidence shows value, turning learnings into reusable practices, tools and insights to boost delivery performance across the airline.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated systems thinking to diagnose performance issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Strong coaching and facilitation to improve flow, prioritisation, predictability and accountability.
• Confidence using delivery and performance data to form hypotheses and guide interventions.
• Practical knowledge of agile, lean, delivery models, systems thinking and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities for improvement by combining quantitative data with context from Units, squads, leaders and specialists.
• Diagnose root causes of performance constraints affecting flow, predictability, dependencies and speed to value.
• Design and deliver focused, time-bound interventions with coaching, facilitation and structured problem solving.
• Partner with Product Owners, Delivery Owners and Tribe Digital Leads to determine where support is required and ensure team ownership.
• Measure impact using delivery, flow, adoption and qualitative signals to separate activity from improvement.
• Develop reusable playbooks, tools and insights to extend improvements beyond the supported teams.
• Improve performance telemetry and ensure measures are trusted and contextualized for action.
• Strengthen operating model by identifying systemic friction and feeding learning back into enterprise ways of working.
• Support sustainable improvements through stakeholder engagement and change capability.
