Job summary

IAG in New Zealand is recruiting a Decommissioning & Life Support Platforms Manager to lead legacy platform retirement programs while balancing stability with change. You’ll guide cross-functional teams, manage migrations, and shape roadmaps that simplify technology landscapes and deliver business value.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business leaders, technology groups and vendors, exploring AI opportunities to accelerate retirement outcomes and improve delivery efficiency.

• Drive application exits, migrations and decommissioning initiatives that reduce technology complexity, risk and operational costs.
• Develop platform roadmaps and lifecycle strategies that support simplification and prioritise high value outcomes.
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams and vendors to coordinate transition activities and achieve successful decommissioning outcomes.
• Explore opportunities to leverage AI and automation to accelerate platform retirement and improve delivery efficiency.
• Track and realise business benefits through effective governance, risk management and lifecycle decision making.
• Build and lead capable teams that support legacy platforms while navigating change and transformation.
