Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora’s Bay of Plenty region invites a skilled business analyst to join the Decision Support Team at Tauranga Hospital. This permanent, full-time role provides high-quality advisory services to managers across all levels to support day-to-day and strategic decisions.

You will analyse financial and operational data, monitor variances and trends, compile reports, and assist with recruitment, tracking progress against key priorities.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in finance, mathematics, economics or similar.
  • 2 years experience in an analytical position within the health sector.
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and a solution focused mindset.
  • PowerBI incl DAX scripting, Power Query, and data models built from multiple data sets would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Navigate organisational processes and provide analytical support to assist services in delivering high-quality, equitable care.
  • Involved with financial and non-financial information, monitoring variances and trends, and compiling reports.
  • Support recruitment, tracking and evaluating progress against the service's key priorities.

This could be you! The Decision Support Team at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty are currently seeking an experienced business analyst to join our team. About the Team/Service/ Location

This position will navigate organisational process, provide expertise and analytical support to assist services in providing high quality, equitable care to the population of the Bay of Plenty. You will be involved with every aspect of service delivery including financial and non financial information, monitoring of variances and trends, compiling reports, supporting recruitment, tracking and evaluating progress against the Service's key priorities. About you
  • Tertiary qualification in finance, mathematics, economics or similar>2 years previous experience in an analytical position within the health sector
  • Ability to interpret financial and business data.
  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills

  • Skills in PowerBI incl DAX scripting, understanding of Power Query, and ability to create data models built from multiple data sets would be an advantage
