Job summary

Christians Against Poverty NZ is seeking a Head of Client Services to lead the Client Services teams through growth and transformation as CAP refreshes its Debt Help Service. Reporting to the Services Director, you will oversee operations and guide a four-person team while shaping a high-performing unit with excellence and impact.

You will bring deep passion for CAP’s kaupapa, strong leadership, and sector experience in Building Financial Capability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years proven experience in a similar role.
• Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
• Proven experience within the Building Financial Capability sector.
• Familiarity with financial institutions, systems and practices in Aotearoa.
• Strong experience balancing strategic and operational priorities.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent strategic and decision-making abilities with a track record of strategic initiative execution.
• Able to identify improvement opportunities and initiate projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 20+ and directly manage four staff, overseeing Debt Help Service.
• Ensure service excellence and effective management of Client Services Operations.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships to enable Debt Help delivery.
• Drive CAP's Vision, values and impact model within Client Services competencies.
• Coach and advise the Client Service team.
• Embed and continuously improve the refreshed Debt Help service.
