Job summary

Christians Against Poverty NZ is seeking a seasoned People & Culture Director to join CAP's Executive Leadership Team. Reporting to the CEO, you will shape organisational strategy, strengthen culture, and drive people initiatives across the charity in Aotearoa.

You will lead end-to-end HR, including recruitment, leadership development, remuneration, payroll, health, safety and environment, while modelling CAP's faith-based values and Te Tiriti partnerships.

Qualifications

• Proven end-to-end HR expertise across recruitment, development, remuneration, payroll, HSE (Health, Safety & Environment).
• Experience leading a HR team; ability to balance strategy and operations.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management; ability to influence culture.
• Alignment with CAP's Christian philosophy, organisational identity and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Responsibilities

• Shape CAP's vision, values, impact model and culture.
• Motivate and empower a team of HR professionals (x4).
• Create and drive CAP's people strategy; ensure deliverables.
• Strengthen CAP's leadership and organisational capabilities; develop managers/leaders.
• Equip organisation with competencies, tools and environment to perform roles.
• Strengthen Health and Safety offerings; identify and manage risks.
• Represent CAP at fundraising events as required.
• Lead organisational-wide projects.
