Job summary

JB Hi-Fi is establishing a new Distribution Centre in Christchurch, offering a hands-on leadership role to shape operations, build processes, and drive a state-of-the-art facility. Based in Yaldhurst, the DC Lead will oversee outbound delivery routines and ensure safe, efficient operations for a market-leading electronics retailer.

The role requires strong leadership of supply chain activities, with a focus on security, compliance, and collaboration with store teams. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of managing and leading a supply chain operation.
• At least 5 years operational warehouse and transport experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the DC facility with security, housekeeping, contractor/visitor management and maintenance.
• Oversight of delivery activities and carrier compliance with SOPs.
• Oversee engagement and management routines for carrier-delivered teams.
• Collaborate with Store Teams on store transfers, blended freight, and display stock sales.
• Ensure inventory integrity, space management, and inbound deliveries per Purchase Orders.
• Oversee risk management, incident investigations, and safety improvements.
• Monitor budgets for labour, freight, consumables, and facility costs.
