Job summary

Generate KiwiSaver Scheme is seeking a Data & Reporting Analyst in Auckland to analyse complex datasets, build engaging dashboards, and provide analytical support to business stakeholders. You will design reports with Tableau, collaborate with Snowflake or similar cloud platforms, ensure data accuracy, maintain documentation, and help grow a data‑driven culture across the organisation.

You will translate data insights into clear business stories and contribute to governance and data literacy

About The Role

As a Data & Reporting Analyst, you will analyse complex datasets to extract actionable insights that drive strategic business decisions. You will design, develop, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau, and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.

Additionally, you will ensure data accuracy, maintain clear documentation, stay updated on industry trends, and present insights to stakeholders with clarity and precision, fostering a data-driven culture.

Your day-to-day will look something like this:

  • Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that support strategic business decisions.
  • Build and optimise engaging dashboards, reports, and visualisations, with a strong preference for Tableau.
  • Work with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms to support data retrieval, transformation, integration, and reporting.
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful analysis and reporting solutions.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis to uncover patterns, performance drivers, and opportunities for growth or efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the wider data team to maintain high standards of data quality, accuracy, consistency, governance, and security.
  • Clearly communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, turning complex data into accessible business stories.
  • Maintain documentation and continuously improve analytical methods, reporting processes, and BI practices.
  • Help build a data-driven culture by sharing knowledge, delivering training, and improving data literacy across the organisation.
