Job summary

Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities is seeking an experienced Platform Lead (Data) to own performance, delivery, and continuous improvement of our data technology platforms in New Zealand.

You will champion modern platform engineering, automation, and DevOps practices across the organisation, lead a high-performing DevOps team, and shape platform strategy to deliver secure, scalable services aligned with business needs.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in platform engineering, DevOps, and operational delivery.
• Proven ability to lead platform engineering and DevOps teams to deliver secure, reliable, scalable, business-focused platform services.
• Ability to translate business strategy into clear platform roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the performance, delivery, and continuous improvement of data technology platforms.
• Champion modern platform engineering, automation, and DevOps practices across Kāinga Ora.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team of DevOps professionals.
• Shape platform strategy and converge platforms into a simple, future-ready state.
