Job description

Jora New Zealand will close on 16th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

Convergence Partners – Auckland, North Island

  • Super cool offices close to public transport
  • Amazing team and company perks

Your numbers don't just sit in a spreadsheet, they shape what gets built, priced, and pitched to the board.

Located in central Newmarket, our client is one of New Zealand's fastest-growing life insurers, and growth like that runs on good data. They're looking for a Data & Insights Analyst who's happier finding the "why" behind a number than just reporting it, someone who checks their work, asks good questions, and can explain a tricky trend to a non-technical person in one clear sentence.

What you'll actually do:
  • Own monthly performance reporting, business planning support and ad hoc analysis requests
  • Maintain and improve spreadsheet-based, Power BI and other reporting, checking data quality and documenting sources and assumptions along the way
  • Track sales, leads, marketing performance and competitor activity (pricing, features, campaigns)
  • Support pricing and product reviews, analysing conversion, rider uptake, cancellations, lapses and portfolio trends
  • Build data packs for actuaries, reinsurers, SLT and Board reporting
  • Turn analysis into commentary that answers: what changed, why it matters, what happens next
  • Work closely with marketing, underwriting, finance, risk and tech to improve reporting processes and cut manual effort
