Westpac is seeking a Data Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term contract to safeguard data quality and reliability across Financial Crime platforms, including NetReveal. You will design and optimize data pipelines, collaborate with AML analytics, engineers, and vendors, and support regulatory and audit activities.
You will bring strong SQL, data modelling, ETL/ELT, and data reconciliation skills, with experience in batch processing, incident management, and complex enterprise data environments.
This is a 12 months fixed term contract
The Data Engineeris responsible forensuring the quality, integrity, availability, and reliability of data that supports Westpac’s Financial Crime platforms, includingNetReveal. This role enables critical financial crime capabilities such as Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk Assessment (CRA), Sanctions Screening, regulatory reporting, analytics initiatives, and audit remediation activities.
Working closely with business stakeholders, AML Analytics, Technical Business Analysts, Engineers, and Vendors, the Data Engineer designs, develops,supportsand improves data pipelines, ETL processes, integrations and data assets that underpin financial crime controls and decision-making.
