Westpac New Zealand is seeking a Data Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term position to ensure data quality and availability for financial crime platforms. You will design and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes and data assets supporting Transaction Monitoring, CRA, sanctions screening, and regulatory reporting.
Collaborate with AML Analytics, engineers and vendors to deliver reliable data solutions, while managing incidents and supporting production environments.
This is a 12 months fixed term contract
The Data Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, availability, and reliability of data that supports Westpac's Financial Crime platforms, including NetReveal . This role enables critical financial crime capabilities such as Transaction Monitoring, Customer Risk Assessment (CRA), Sanctions Screening, regulatory reporting, analytics initiatives, and audit remediation activities.
Working closely with business stakeholders, AML Analytics, Technical Business Analysts, Engineers, and Vendors, the Data Engineer designs, develops, supports and improves data pipelines, ETL processes, integrations and data assets that underpin financial crime controls and decision-making.
